10 Surprising Everyday Habits That Accelerate Aging
1. Washing Your Face Way Too Often
In an ideal situation, you should only be washing your face two times per day. Repeat washing your face causes the lack of essential and natural oil from our skin. This dries up and causes your face to be more susceptible to fine lines and wrinkles.
2. Sleeping On Your Side
Having your face pressed into the pillow, however, raises the opportunity for cheek and chin wrinkles. Sleeping on the side is wonderful on the other hand. It may be difficult at first but sleep with your whole back flat on the bed, and you will eventually acclimate to this. It not only helps to wrinkless skin but also makes you look young, fresh and rejuvenated.
3. Frowning Too Much
Wrinkles can develop over time with any repetitive movement of the face. Do you know about laugh lines? These are signs that you have lived a good life but what about the lines around your mouth? Not happy with frown lines, REALLY NOT HAPPY. As much as possible suppress the tendency to frown and squint.
4. Dieting Like There Is No Tomorrow
Going on an extreme diet that wipes your body out of too much fat? And while essential fats are great for your health, they are what gives your skin its elasticity and plumpness. The healthy fats in avocados, flax seeds, and salmon, including omega-3 fats, are also good for your skin, and all are good for your brain function too.
5. Not Using Eye Cream
The skin surrounding your eyes is some of the thinnest on your entire body. Less oil glands due to delicate skin. You have to take care of the skin around the eyes otherwise you will start getting lines and wrinkles at an early age. And a hearty caffeine-filled eye cream should do the trick.
6. Applying Products In A Downward Motion
There is a reason every aging body feature comes with audible explanations: Gravity. This is further accelerated if you are using skincare products [like moisturizers and cleansers] from top to bottom. If you stretch your skin, it creates lines (fine wrinkles on your part with the beige wrinkles are showing, the thin skin around your eyes and mouth). From your chin, sweep up until your forehead, applying a little pressure.
7. Not Getting Enough Sleep
Normally an adult requires a minimum of 7 hours of sleep per day. For those people who do not have never-ending time, lack of sleep does not only make you look aged, but also shorten your lifetime as well. If you feel sluggish, gained weight, or feel your brain slowing down, this is a sign that you must go to bed early.
8. Drinking Through A Straw & Smoking
We all know smoking isn’t great for your body but drinking using a straw? But it does protect your teeth from getting stained. But repeated puckering will create fine lines around your mouth. None of these remedies actually works to make these fine lines disappear. Well then, that means the only option is to fuck the straw and drink out of the glass. Also, try to quit smoking.
9. Slouching At Work
Anyone who uses their wits to grind away in front of a computer during regular work hours understands how difficult it is to maintain an upright posture in the office chair. This is what leads us to slouch forward over our desks with one hand supporting our chin. Good posture is conducive to minimising neck and lower back pain as well as fending off wrinkles and sagging on your neck, too. The act, and intention, of looking at your mobile phone or book will produce similar effects.
10. Binge-Watching TV
Survey data reveal that too much TV will take years off your life. But tambiƩn puede ser harmful for your skin. So be sure to get up from your couch or from sitting at your desk to walk for a few minutes every 30 minutes. If you really struggle to get out of bed every single time, then do some basic workouts.
